obviously, i am not in switzerland.
this exhibition showcases that their is not one true story or path regarding the discipline of photography and how it has developed. as bell hooks has noted, Black photographers and technicians developed their tools in order to capture Black people distinctly, regardless of lighting conditions. for colonized people across the world, photography offered a chance to control their own narratives. through offering the text digitized, the museum has also offered a limited view of the exhibition - https://a.wonnder.com/fast_ein_paradies?fromTag=museumrietberg - which i have enjoy thoroughly.
as always, would love for this to travel to other locations if possible.
