Black Wings and Blind Angels (1999)

a (semi-autobiographical) performance by Sapphire, the same writer behind Push (later made into Precious). there's a lot one can say about Sapphire's works and whether they're stereotypes concentrated on the Black community. while i'm not going to comment on that discourse, i think this performance is great insight as to why/how Sapphire has come to these ideas in the past
